Verbal Dysentry

This may be attributed to the immense amounts of work that we guys have been assigned in our workplaces. I was having a mail-session with my dear friend Chintan. This is what transpired between us........goes to show how u can say a small thing in 1000 words. Also goes to prove that we still have the Angrezi pangs of snootiness left in us.....no offences pls.......

The situation was that Chintan had sent me a document and I decided to thank him for that.......

Mail 1 - Rex to Chintan

abe chints,

thoda formal ban raha hoon.......

please accept my sincerest gratitude in lieu of your show of kindness by way of extending the report to ignorant people like me.............i wud consider it my privilege to humbly acknowledge this show of extreme gratitude on your part and wud like to thank you profusely for the same...

Mail 2 - Chintan to Rex

Dear Rex,

I am honored to accept your gratitude and feel it is a privilege on my part to be acknowledged by you. I must say I am extremely touched by this show of humility on your part to acknowledge the presence of mere mortals like me.

Thanking you,

Chintan Shah

P.S.: Screw you

Mail 3 - Rex to Chintan

I am in awe of the incredulous display of usage of language combined with the impeccable style of delivery in communication. I must however also bring to notice the implicit desire of esteemed individuals like yourself to glorify and amplify the microscopic traces of talent in humans like me. I must feel privileged to be thanked by no less a gifted individual like yourself, and I a thoroughly in awe of the wonderful display of courtesy extended towards me in the due course of transaction between us. In the times to come, it may be safely assumed that the level of gentlemanly behaviour on display here, would transcend all boundaries of present and existing norms of culturd behaviour and would herald a new beginning in the customary privilege of reetings exchanged by the human race.

in much more anticipation of heightened excellence in formality, I entrust upon myself the pleasure of extending this piece of communication through the channel of electronic communication. Let us eschew ourselves in the noble cause of proliferating a new paradigm of communication etiquettes.

with the highest respect

rex

Weekend Blast

The past weekend turned out to be a real memorable one. The gala time started from Friday evening, when I went out with some of my dear friends. There was Bhaskar, my room-mate at TAPMI, Praveen, my groupmate, Ashish, Shashi, Swapnil, Kuldi and we headed to the Night Watchman to have a good time. Saturday was the time for the big party organised for Ravi and Rupak's B'days. Rupak had come down from Mangalore for the occassion.
It was a wonderful occasion as we kept on pulling Rupak and Ravi for their much-publicised affairs. The members of the party were Ravi, Rupak, Anu, Sujay, Rachitha, Shashi, Swapnil, PJ, Bhaskar, Ashish, Ankur, Tharini, Kuldi and myself. We gifted both the boys with small shorts, as we thought they hadny grown up yet.
Sunday turned out to be a day full of surprises. I met a dear friend of mine called Sunil Jose. We used to hang around a lot when I was in Udaipur. I went to his home and had a awesome lunch, havent had home-food for a long time. I also met his parents and other family members. A real nice time. In the evening, it was again time for a TAPMI gang re-union. This time it was at Kiran and Swapna's place, had a nice time with lot of tea and snacks, especially prepared by the hosts. The meeting also ended in yet another plan to go for a trip in the coming days. Our earlier attempts for a trip to Mysore had gone up in smoke, lets see how far this goes.
Now am back at office, looking forward to the training sessions and document readings.
Am off to Chennai for the weekend. Looking forward to meet my gang of friends there.
Life is great, live it to the fullest.

Reflections - A heady concotion

As they say, "An empty mind is the devil's workshop", hence I utilise this time of the day to ponder upon certain things in my life, to be cajoled and caressed by the wonderful memories that I shall always cherish.

Like most of my friends, I also believe that my life at TAPMI was a defining moment in all my 20 plus years of existence. Here, I have learned to laugh in distress, to cry in joy, to feel good at all times and most importantly to believe in myself. I also have met some truly amazing indiviuals who have inspired me a lot. I owe a lot to TAPMI. (I have paid all the fees though)
As for my engineering days, as most of you would agree, those days were devoted to enjoying life with friends, falling in love every day, freaking out on movies and games, attending classes and trying to impress everyone out there.
And, the best of the times, the school, especially if you are the son of the vice-principal. I wonder if I could have the services of a time machine, I would always be in the "rewind" mode.

Alas, for now, I have joined the rat race of life, fighting it out among the young ignited minds, trying to find a place for myself in the world. As I sail along in these thoughts, I wonder is that what life is all about, job, marriage, kids, responsibility, money and happy life. I go along this Quest for life, capturing all that comes on the way and putting them down here.

Rex-verso to continue...........

My first steps @ blogging

Hi,

This is Rex Tom Cyriac Vadakel, rex for short. Its been some time since I thought I should start blogging, hence the start.
I should acknowledge the efforts of my dear friend Arun Panicker who cajoled me into this space. Thanks Arun.
To start off, I have named my blog as Rex - Verso, which practically translated means Rex in Reverse. As I stand here, at this point in time, I look back upon the past happenings of my life. It would be my sincere effort to capture my past in a form so as to reach out to everyone I know and to those whom I dont.

As I set sail on this new journey, I wish myself luck to understand myself better and reach out to others. Bon Voyage.
